Dr. Albert A. Bravo, DPM operates a podiatry practice located in Pittsfield, MA. A native of Lee, he attended the Cranwell School and graduated from Lee High School in 1976. Dr. Bravo earned a scholarship to Cornell University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1980. Later, he attended the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine for 4 years, graduating in the top 15% of his class. At graduation, he was presented with several Faculty awards, including the Award for Excellence in Foot Surgery and the Award for Excellence in the Fabrication of Foot Orthotics.

Dr. Bravo’s practical training and positions

Following graduation from professional school, Dr. Bravo completed an intensive 2 year hospital residency program specializing in foot surgery at Rolling Hill Hospital in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. He was named Chief Resident in 1985.

 

Upon completion of his year as Chief Resident, he had participated in over 1000 surgical cases. Dr. Bravo was then invited to hold a teaching position at the Temple University of Podiatric Medicine. He was on the teaching staff for 13 years, and held the position of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics while also being in private practice.

Board certifications and memberships

Dr. Bravo was Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in 1991, and recertified in 1999 and 2009. He was also Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine in 1993 and recertified in 2003.

 

He is on the medical staff at Berkshire Medical Center. Dr. Bravo is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and Massachusetts Podiatric Medical association, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.

 

Dr. Bravo has been successfully running his private practice since 1986. He's a family podiatrist and has treated many patients with a variety of foot problems.
